“When Calls The Heart” DVD – Blog Review 1

I received the “When Calls The Heart” movie from Elliott with Edify Media, Inc and was asked to review it and then blog about it.  My family finally had time the other night to sit down and watch a movie.  Lately, with the holidays, birthdays, etc., we haven’t had time to breathe, so being able to watch the movie finally, was a blessing.

At first, we didn’t know what to expect.  Hearing that the movie was by Michael Landon, Jr. made us excited to watch it.  We have loved his movies in the past and are always happy to see another one.

The movie was set in a beautiful area and all of the filming was done really well.  We loved the story and how it was a look into the girl’s history and future at the same time.  The one thing we all said at the end, though, was “how will it end?” – it seems to end without a full finish.  Now, I heard that their is a miniseries coming out about it, so I cannot wait to watch that.  I really want to know if the Mountie comes back!! 🙂

Great family movie – good for any ages.  There were great teaching moments in it for families with kids and could also be used as a date night movie.  Great acting and a wholesome story – we need more movies like this in today’s world!
